Our Day

Today was a fun filled day at the house with Josiah. We're stuck at home because our other car needs a new battery and Marland was at school all day. Some funny things happened today though. I told you earlier how Josiah has been eating a lot lately. Well that hasn't stopped. I swear this boy is going to eat us out of the house! He was running around the house playing and not long after he had just ate a big breakfast he brought me the BIG box of Kix asking for some! haha. So, I let him have some. I went to the bathroom and left the box on the computer desk. This is what I found when I came back.

JOSIAH! (yes, I realize his hair is crazy but we had just woke up.)

Caught ya read handed!

What mom?

He was pleading his case here...I wish I could have grabbed the video camera so you could hear it.
So, needless to say he got what he wanted which was some more KIX! 

Josiah took a decent nap today. Yesterday was brutal and it ended with a huge head ache! After his nap we went on our first walk of the new year!

 

It was so beautiful out this afternoon so we went to the park close by us and played. I think Josiah really enjoyed himself. I ran into an old coworker from bdubs while we were there. It was nice catching up with her and meeting her little boy who is a few months older than Josiah.

Josiah pooped in the bath tub for the first time EVER! Well besides when he was like really little and it was not SOLID poopy floating around in the water! haha. I thought it was funny but I caught him before he did too much and before he started playing in the water with it or picking it up! YUCK! Thank goodness. 

Marland and I got a good laugh this evening with Josiah. We were all hanging out in the living room and there were some sirens going off around us(not normal ok we don't live in a bad neighborhood.) It was probably a wreak or something but you could hear all the sirens. Josiah got spooked by it and came running toward me but then he just stopped and was staring at the door in silence listening with this very confused/concentrating face. Marland and I were watching him and I just couldn't hold it in anymore just from seeing how serious and concerned he was as he was trying to figure out what was going on. I busted out laughing and scared the little guy even MORE. He jumped out of his skin and came running after me scared to death! Marland then lost it and busted out laughing too! So, Marland and I sat there laughing for awhile while poor Josiah was just sitting on my lap looking back and forth between me and his daddy wondering what was going on. Funny stuff. Marland and I enjoyed the laugh. We do really love our little man so much. He always has a way of bringing a smile to our faces.
